It is not clear Terbigen terbinafine actually caused about liver damage in these patients. Terbinafine appears to be a relatively safe drug. As with many other topical antifungal drugs, terbinafine cream is not effective for onychomycosis. Terbinafine hydrochloride is a synthetic allylamine antifungal.

QT interval prolongation, usually at higher doses, when associated with hypokalemia, or when used with other drugs known to prolong the QT interval such as ribociclib.
