Dosage & Overdose

BID, doses greater than 160 mg BID have been associated with an increased incidence of Torsade de Pointes and are not recommended. Day 7, with further increases in dosage to the maximum tolerated dose within the targeted dose range by Day 10.


  • Overdosage may cause excessive peripheral vasodilatation with marked hypotension and sometimes bradycardia.
  • Difficulty swallowing that can cause food or liquid to get into your lungs.


  • Be sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
  • Tell patients to report pregnancies to their physicians as soon as possible.
