Zolben tablets OTC

WHO allows Zolben of this medicine in the 2nd medical 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. Data on the use of albendazole in pregnant women are limited, though the available evidence suggests no difference in congenital abnormalities in the children of women who were accidentally treated with albendazole during mass prevention campaigns compared with those who were not.

Used for

Zolben is used to treat diseases such as: Ascariasis, Capillariasis, Cutaneous Larva Migrans, Cysticercus cellulosae, Echinococcus, Enterocolitis, Filariasis, Elephantiasis, Giardiasis, Gnathostomiasis, Hookworm Infection (Necator or Ancylostoma), Hydatid Disease, Liver Fluke, Loiasis, Microsporidiosis, Neurocysticercosis, Pinworm Infection (Enterobius vermicularis), Strongyloidiasis, Trichinosis, Trichostrongylosis, Visceral Larva Migrans, Toxicariasis, Whipworm Infection.

How to Use

  • Taking this medication with food may lessen these symptoms.
  • Should be used during pregnancy only if it is clearly needed.

Dosage & Overdose

PO once a day or divided twice a day. This dose is then increased gradually to a maximum recommended dose of 160 mg twice daily.


  • Those at risk include patients with renal or hepatic impairment, or poor nutritional state, as well as patients receiving a protracted course of antimicrobial therapy, and patients previously stabilized on anticoagulant therapy.
