Carbidopa is never used by itself as a drug for any disease. Capsule mouse in the treatment group received 1 milligram of carbidopa daily, which is the equivalent of a human dose of less than 400 milligrams per day.

Dosage & Overdose

For period pain, the usual dose is 250 mg three times daily for up to 5 days. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded or feel your pulse is racing, and this feeling does not go away after a few minutes, call your doctor.


  • This medication may cause temporary male infertility.
  • You may be advised to get plenty of calcium and vitamin D to reduce your risk of osteoporosis.


  • However, if you are a woman and you are trying to get pregnant, talk to your doctor first as this medicine is usually not recommended in pregnancy.
